Even if you don’t understand it – which I don’t really – everyone knows that Fortnite is absolutely huge and majorly big business today and we all know that wherever there’s a chance to make a whole lot of money then there’s going to be a whole lot of controversy as well.

The latest incident that’s sure to rock the online gaming community regards massive Fortnite star Faze Jarvis being banned for life after he uploaded a video of himself using aimbots in a recreational game. Jarvis admitted that he used the hack in the video as he wanted to show his followers just what could occur when aimbots were employed, but had never used them in a competitive match and was unaware that the consequences of his actions would be so severe.

Here’s a video apology as well as some of the key points he made during it:

All I was thinking about whilst I was making those videos was just how entertaining and interesting these videos would be for you guys to watch.

It didn’t even cross my mind to think that I could be banned for life from Fortnite from those videos.

I just want to be clear that this is the first time that I have ever done anything like this and of course I have never done this in a competitive game mode at all.

Damn that guy really is upset about this hey? I suppose when you’re 17 and you think you’re gonna do something for the rest of your life and have loads of fun and make loads of money and then you get banned from it for a silly mistake, then that really is going to upset you though isn’t it? Would be completely and utterly devastating tbh.

Kinda really dumb of him to not think that Epic would obviously associate him with cheating if he made a video illustrating how you could cheat? The folly of youth.

Hopefully he can start playing some other game and take off in the same way in that, although there’s still the possibility Epic Games might reconsider his ban as there’s already a massive campaign to #FreeJarvis. Also the possibility that he’ll always be associated with cheating and might never recover from this controversy. Tough break being 17 these days hey.

For more of the same, check out this 16 year old kid winning $3 million in the first ever Fortnite World Cup. FaZe won’t be getting anywhere near that now.
