You’ve probably heard by now that Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland has been sacked for sending creepy DMs to 16-year-old girls (among other things), and what this means for the show is that they had to bring in new voice actors because Roiland was responsible for voicing both Rick and Morty, not to mention a host of other characters.

Well, they decided to bring in one voice actor for Rick and another for Morty, and we now have our first look/listen in the new Season 7 trailer:

Not bad at all. In fact the general consensus seems to be that you can barely tell the difference, although there are a few moments where you can maybe tell something is a little ‘off’ with Rick’s voice. Probably just something the voice actor has to get used to when yelling in the recording booth. Morty is pretty much spot on though. It’s probably as close as you can get to the real thing!

It’s good they brought in proper voice actors to handle it too instead of leaving it up to AI or something. Season 7 of Rick and Morty arrives on Adult Swim on Sunday, October 15.

For Soulja Boy’s Rick & Morty freestyle which many people were calling a 10/10 hip hop classic, click HERE. I’m tempted to agree.
