It’s always gutting when you hear about a beloved creator being a closet creep, and unfortunately this seems to be the case with ‘Rick and Morty’ creator and voice actor Justin Roiland, who has had some really bizarre DMs leaked this week.

Here’s the 42-year-old’s attempt at chatting up a 16-year-old fan on Twitter (well, in fairness, he was 35 at the time – not that it makes a difference):

So as if chatting up a minor wasn’t bad enough, he’s sprinkled some casual racism in there as well. What makes it even sadder is how rubbish his game is; without context you’d think this was a 12-year-old boy trying to chat up a high school girl or something. WTF is wrong with this guy?

There’s more, too…

Jesus. Imagine someone telling you about their experience of sexual abuse, and your response is that you’ve got kinks around that sort of thing. What a fxcked up weirdo this guy is!

Of course, there’s now tons of girls on Twitter releasing their DM exchanges with Roiland, which – while not illegal as these girls were above age (I think) – are pretty weird:

Roiland was already facing domestic abuse charges from incidents in 2020, so these leaked DMs are certainly not going to do him or his career any favours. It’s actually quite annoying because Rick & Morty was a pretty funny show. But if I had to guess I’d say it’s over after all this. Shame.

For Soulja Boy’s Rick & Morty freestyle which many people were calling a 10/10 hip hop classic, click HERE. I’m tempted to agree.
