Who is David Choe again? He’s the dude who decorated the Facebook offices with graffiti in 2005 and opted for shares as payment instead of cash, which was probably the wisest decision of his life because it turned him into a multi-millionaire who gambles tens of millions for fun and basically lives one of the sickest lives ever.

Back 2014, Choe also co-hosted a podcast called Erection Quest with porn star Asa Akira. During one episode, he put his foot in it by describing how he once got an erection during a massage (from a professional masseuse) and started wanking mid-massage without asking for permission.

In his own words:

“It’s dangerous and it’s super self destructive. I’m at a place and there’s potential for a lawsuit…and she has given me no signs that she’s into me or that this is appropriate behavior.

In my head I go ‘Do you care if I jerk off right now?’ and it sounds so creepy in my head that I go I can’t say that out loud. I was like, can you keep massaging me and I’m just gonna of jerk off, okay? and I’m like, wow, that sounds so creepy.”

“So I go back to the chill method of you never ask first, you just do it, get in trouble and then pay the price later…

And I just start jerking off. Real slowly and sexy… So then [her] hands gets off my leg and she just stops. Now I’m just jerking off… And I look at her and she’s like, oh so this is happening now?”

Apparently the massage continued as normal, and he asked for oil and she poured it on him. He says it’s cold and asks her to rub it on him. She refuses but he grabs her hand and puts it on his penis. He then asks her to spit on his penis and again she refuses. He asks her to kiss it just a bit, and she refuses again.

“She’s definitely not into it, but she’s not stopping it either. I say ‘Kiss it a little,’ she says ‘No, all the massage oil is on it’ and I take the back of her head and I push it down on my dick and she doesn’t do it. And I say ‘Open your mouth, open your mouth,’ and she does it and I start facefucking her.”

At this point co-host Asa Akira yelps “You raped her” in jokey fashion. Choe says he kept going until he jizzed in her mouth, then asked her for sex, which she refused. The massage then just continued as normal. When prompted further on whether it was ‘rape’ by Asa, he said:

“With the rape stuff…I mean, I would have been in a lot of trouble right now if I put her hand on my dick and she’s like ‘Fucking stop I’m gonna go call security.’  That would have been a much different story. But the thrill of possibly going to jail, that’s what achieved the erection quest.”

Later on in the interview he justifies what he did by saying “she said yes with her eyes” and conceded “I just want to make it clear that I admit that that’s rapey behaviour, but I am not a rapist.” Erm… yeah.

He also asked the masseuse when the massage was over why she didn’t agree to have sex with him, and apparently she responded that she was afraid she’d fall in love with him. Choe then declares that he is a “successful rapist”, as even though she behaved as though she wasn’t interested, he knew that deep down she wanted it and “(he) was right”.

At the time, there was some backlash against Choe but it eventually died down because I guess it was pre-Cancel Culture era, but his recent appearance on hit Netflix show ‘Beef’ (which is really good btw) has caused the clip to resurface again, with the usual Twitter types demanding explanations for why he’s still allowed to work and be platformed etc.

Well apparently, Twitter has already taken down the viral clip after Choe filed a complaint on copyright grounds:

Unfortunately for him a whole bunch of people have already uploaded the clip and keep doing so – here’s a small section of it from another account:

For what it’s worth, Choe already addressed the clip back in 2014 with the following statement:

“I never thought I’d wake up one late afternoon and hear myself called a rapist. It sucks. Especially because I am not one. I am not a rapist. I hate rapists, I think rapists should be raped and murdered.

I am an artist and a storyteller and I view my show DVDASA as a complete extension of my art.

If I am guilty of anything, it’s bad storytelling in the style of douche. Just like many of my paintings are often misinterpreted, the same goes with my show. The main objective of all of my podcasts is to challenge and provoke my friends and the co-stars on the show. We fuck with each other, entertain ourselves and laugh at each other, It’s a dark, tasteless, completely irreverent show where we fuck with everyone listening, but mostly ourselves. We create stories and tell tales. It’s not a news show. It’s not a representation of my reality. It’s not the place to come for reliable information about me or my life. It’s my version of reality, it’s art that sometimes offends people. I’m sorry if anyone believed that the stories were fact. They were not!

In a world full of horrible people, thank god for us.”

See? He’s not a rapist, he’s just a nice person who wants to entertain you with stories of rape. Obviously it’s the type of thing that will get you cancelled with the quickness in this day and age, but maybe there’s an argument for it falling under the comedic umbrella, especially on a podcast called ‘Erection Quest’. Still, probably the type of ‘funny story’ you should share with your equally depraved buddies if you really have to, not on a podcast listened to by thousands of people.
