If you were wondering whether ex-Eastenders star Danniella Westbrook had turned her life around out yet, the answer is sadly a resounding ‘hell no’ judging by these latest images from the tabloids.

The actress was holidaying with friends in Ibiza while recovering from her recent breast surgery, but she was stopped at the airport when her passport threw up a warning to staff.

Turns out that in 2018, Danniella was arrested and detained by police for failing to pay for £39 of petrol. The actress recalled driving to Benidorm to see a mate but not having any money to pay for the petrol she filled her car with.

She handed her driving licence and a copy of her passport to the staff member but didn’t return to pay the next day, and ‘couldn’t remember where the petrol station was anyway.’

The issue remained unresolved and as a result, it was flagged up at passport control last week, resulting in the scenes you see in these new images; where she’s just discovered in a Spanish court that her fine has risen to over 3000 euros.

Danniella famously lost her septum after doing 5 grams of coke a day for 15 years, and reconstruction surgeries have somehow resulted in her nose getting closer to her mouth every time.

She’s best remembered for this photo that was taken of her at the British Soap Awards in 2000, which led to her being checked into rehab:

20+ years later, I wouldn’t be shocked to learn that she’s still on cocaine given her continued, shocking decision-making. Imagine allowing a £39 charge for petrol to escalate into a 3000+ euro fine ffs.

Anyway, it’s never too late to sort your life out so hopefully this most recent setback serves as a kick up the bum for the former Sam Mitchell. Not holding my breath though.
