Dad Caught ‘Plucking Armpit Hair’ And Placing It In His Food To Get Free Meal

An Australian restaurant has released CCTV footage showing a man sprinkling armpit hair into his meal in an attempt to avoid paying the $600 bill.

High-end Sydney restaurant Pony Dining in The Rocks said the family of six demanded a refund before walking out without paying, after making a complaint about a hair in their food on Wednesday night.

One look at the CCTV revealed exactly how the hair wound up in their food:

Gross.

The restaurant says: ‘We don’t usually share content like this. This footage shows an incident which occurred in our venue. After the meal was served, the guest later raised a complaint regarding a hair in their meal and declined payment for all the food. During the interaction, our team also experienced inappropriate and unacceptable behaviour.’

‘We decided to check the CCTV after we noticed they were acting very weird. They ordered a lot of food including a Tomahawk. We tried to make them pay but he refused. We called the police however at that time we didn’t have the footage so police advised it was a civil problem and nothing they can do at that stage. So they paid for drinks then left.’

It seems this family have pulled the same stunt at least once elsewhere, with one other restaurant owner coming forward since to say they recognise them as the same diners who “found a small rock” in their food “left without paying the full bill” at their restaurant.

Very strange indeed. You would think that if someone was planning to plant hair in their food, they would have already prepared it earlier, not pluck it straight out of their armpits at the table. Although at least he didn’t pull it out of his pubes, I suppose. And where did he get the rock from? His head?!

This story is going viral in Aus so I’m sure Sydney restauranteurs will be on high alert from now on. Let’s see if this guy is stupid enough to try the same stunt again.
