‘John Wick 4’ exploded onto our screens a couple of weeks and blew everyone away by having about 90 minutes of non stop action at the end without ever really getting boring and whilst it’s unclear whether that franchise will continue at this point, we do know that there are a variety of ‘John Wick’ spinoffs coming to our screens very soon.

The first one of these is the three part television event ‘The Continental’ that will be premiering on Peackock over in the US on September 23rd of this year. ‘The Continental’ tells the story of a young Winston – Ian McShane’s character in the movies – rocking up to New York City in the 1970s and slowly working his way up the ranks to owning the iconic hotel.

Take a look at the trailer below:

The three-part event series will explore the origin behind the iconic hotel-for-assassins centerpiece of the John Wick universe through the eyes and actions of a young Winston Scott, as he’s dragged into the Hell-scape of 1970’s New York City to face a past he thought he’d left behind.

Winston charts a deadly course through the hotel’s mysterious underworld in a harrowing attempt to seize the hotel where he will eventually take his future throne.

OK, that didn’t really show us too much about what might happen on the show but it looks as though it’s just going to be more weird assassins with stupid character traits and weird masks like in the movies just hanging out and shooting each other. You can’t ask for more than that can you?

For more of the same, check out when Keanu Reeves showed up fish and chips at a pub in a small English town. What the hell was all that about?
