The British Council says it will investigate comments made by one of its senior employees on Facebook this week, which criticised Prince George for being royal, rich and advantaged.

Angela Gibbins, head of global estates at the charity, was said to have commented on a picture of the young prince, which someone had captioned:
I know he’s only two years old, but Prince George already looks like a fucking dickhead.
Here’s what Angela commented:
White privilege. That cheeky grin is the innate knowledge he’s royal, rich, advantaged and will never know *any* difficulties or hardships in life.
Let’s find photos of 3yo Syrian refugee children and see if they look alike, eh?
A spokeswoman at the British Council was keen to distance the organisation from Angela:
This comment was made on a private social media account. It has absolutely no connection to the British Council and does not represent the views of the British Council.
I suppose it’s one thing for us to make fun of Prince George, and quite another for a member of the British Council to do it. It doesn’t matter if Prince George is a fucking dick, you can’t go round calling him that on social media when your job is to promote the UK.
