Alligator Snapping Turtles Are Real And They Are Absolutely Terrifying

The photo above is of Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission herpetologist Kevin Enge posing with a 125-pound alligator snapping turtle at the Suwannee River in Florida.

I had to Google these bad boys just to make sure they were real. Well they are and guess what? They can live up to 120 years. Which means not only will they terrify you/bite your face off if you get too close but they’ll also outlive your dog/cat by a considerable margin. So messed up.
