A New Contender For The Worst Penalty Of All Time Has Just Dropped
Thoughts and prayers with Chilean player Cristian Zavala – he just attempted a cheeky Panenka while taking a penalty for his side Colo-Colo against Uruguayan giants Peñarol, all whilst rocking a haircut like Megan Rapinoe, and the outcome couldn’t have been more embarrassing.
Worse still – he then appeared to blow his knee out of its socket? Watch below:
Oh my days – is he OK? Someone call an ambulance! Cristian Zavala may never be able to walk again, let alone play football. I’m not sure I’ve seen an injury that horrific since Ryan Shawcross broke Aaron Ramsay’s leg in half in 2010?!
Now, a lot of people are claiming that Zavala is faking the injury because he wants to distract/excuse the unbelievably crap penalty he just took, and maybe they’re onto something there, but I’m going to give the lad the benefit of the doubt until we know more. Like I said – he could have a career-ending injury on his hands!
