Kay Burley Branded ‘Disgusting’ After Defending Andrew In Front Of Abuse Survivor

Really weird moment on BBC Newsnight as Kay Burley felt the need to point out that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was a war hero… in front of Epstein survivor and campaigner Lisa Phillips and Alex Davies-Jones MP, Minister for Victims, 2024 – 2026.

It came completely out of the blue and baffled everyone in the studio:

Burley: “We should just accept that he was a war hero, we should just throw that in.”

Yeah, I’m not sure why she thought it was necessary to say that at all, let alone in front of an abuse survivor who is appealing for other victims of a sex traffickers/nonces to come forward. Should we also just accept that Jimmy Saville was a successful TV host, or that Gary Glitter and Ian Watkins were big time recording artists? What is the point of saying that?

Total brain fart from someone who’s been in the game for as long as Kay Burley. Loving the pin drop silence from the rest of the room though. Apology incoming, I suspect.
