Mystikal Has Been Sentenced To 20 Years In Rxpe Case
90’s rapper Mystikal (remember him?) has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to third-degree rape in a Louisiana court.
The ‘Shake Ya Ass’ hitmaker, real name Michael Lawrence Tyler, has been arrested three times for sexual assault/rape offenses since 2003 and gone to jail for every single one.
- 2003 – 6 years in jail for aggravated rape
- 2017 – 18 months in jail for first degree rape & kidnapping (case later dismissed by grand jury)
- 2022 – 4 years without bond for degree rape and domestic abuse.
For that last one, he pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of third-degree rape, and this week, was sentenced to 20 years in jail. Which is probably a good idea at this point because clearly the guy cannot stop raping women no matter how many times he goes to jail for it.
The sentence carries no chance of parole but provides credit for time served since his 2022 arrest. The 55-year-old must register as a lifetime sex offender upon release, by which time he’ll be in his 70s.
The victim testified in court, stating that Mystikal punched, choked, pulled out her braids, and tortured her for hours during the July 2022 incident at his Prairieville home.
When addressing the victim’s request for the maximum penalty, Mystikal said in court: “If that’s what I did, I deserve every day of this sentence. I’m sorry. I hope you heal.”
Might’ve known something was up with this guy when he started his biggest song with “I came here with my d-ck in my hand.” Pretty wild lyric in retrospect, but in fairness, the song was an absolute banger.
Finally, after the third rape, Mystikal gets what he deserves so hopefully that brings some closure to his victims. Fair play to him for basically asking for the maximum sentence too. Even he knows that women aren’t safe with him walking the streets.
