CBS News’ Peter Attia Resigns After Disturbing Emails Between Him & Epstein Discovered In Newly-Released Files

Canadian-American author and researcher Peter Attia, known for his work in longevity medicine, has resigned from news station CBS after some dodgy emails between him and Jeffrey Epstein were discovered in the newly-released files.

The files revealed correspondence from the mid-2010s containing “crude, tasteless, and indefensible” jokes, including vulgar remarks about women, but also this:

Attia writes: “You [know] the biggest problem with becoming friends with you? The life you lead is so outrageous, and yet I can’t tell a soul…”

Probably not the sort of thing you want to see a medical professional/mainstream news personality say in an e-mail to the most infamous paedophile in the world.

Attia, 52, resigned voluntarily to ensure his involvement did not become a “distraction” for CBS. He also hasn’t dropped a podcast episode on Spotify since late January, so I guess he knew this was coming.

Attia has issued a public apology, saying he was “ashamed” of the exchanges. He emphasised that he was not involved in any criminal activity, never visited Epstein’s private island, and never flew on his planes. I guess we’ll have to take his word for it.

Following the revelations, Attia also stepped down from roles at David Protein and was dropped by the supplement company AGI. CBS News also pulled a scheduled re-broadcast of a 60 Minutes profile featuring him.
