Woman Jailed For ‘Deliberately’ Driving Fiat 500 Into Man Who Was Playing Rugby With His Pals
A woman has been sentenced after appearing to ‘deliberately’ drive her Fiat 500 into a man who was playing rugby with friends at Mountain Ash railway station in South Wales.
There’s some debate online over whether Lexi Dyas, 18, intended to strike Declan Mahoney, 20, with her vehicle. Watch below and see what you think:

Hmmm. Kinda looked like she swerved into him as he tried to get out of the way?
The good news is that Declan Mahoney is OK, aside from a fractured finger, arm and leg, scars on his shins, ankle and face and the PTSD that has rendered him incapable of leaving house, according to LBC.
Lexi told police she had been distracted while speaking with a friend and claimed the crash was an “accident”.
Andrew Davies, prosecuting, said: “She indicated it was an accident, which occurred because she was not concentrating. She said she didn’t have a grudge against Declan Mahoney at all.
“She said she thought Declan had run the opposite way to her car, and the next thing she knew she hit him.”
I guess it’s just unlucky that even with all that road in front of her, she managed to land a direct hit on poor Declan.
In the end, Judge Recorder Christian Jowett sentenced Lexi Dyas to 18 months in a young offenders’ institution after she plead guilty to causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He also banned her from driving for two years and nine months.
He told Dyas: “You used excessive speed when you drove deliberately and directly at Mr Mahoney.”
Get better soon, Dec!
