James Argent has been handed a six-month suspended prison sentence sfter pushing his model ex-girlfriend down the stairs outside her apartment in Cala de Mijas, Spain. Would like to see him try that with Gemma Collins!
The ex-TOWIE star, 37, pleaded guilty to ‘mistreating’ former Miss Sweden Nicoline Artursson, 32, after being arrested on May 5 and hauled before a judge.
He’s also been given a restraining order which prevents him from contacting or approaching Artursson for the next 24 months, otherwise he’ll go straight to jail.
Argent has now spoken out about the news, telling MailOnline that he’s ‘devastated’ and assuring this has nothing to do with him relapsing on cocaine.
James said: ‘I haven’t relapsed. I am still three years and four months clean and sober. I am devastated by what’s happened.’
Argent had been in a relationship with Artursson for 9 months before the incident occurred.
You would think that a guy who was dumped by Gemma Collins, had his heart broken into a billion pieces by her, and then lost 14 stone and bagged Miss Sweden would make sure to not f*ck that up under any circumstances, but then we are dealing with a cast member from one of the dumbest reality TV shows in history, after all.
