In what might be the ultimate demonstration of love, 23-year-old Sarah Button was stopped by airport security because she was carrying her boyfriend’s ashes in a butt plug that was already inserted in her anus.

The Aussie law student wore the toy as a way of travelling with her late partner as she hoped to show him the world. Sarah told NeedToKnow.Online:

‘The plug was gifted to me before the passing of an ex-boyfriend I had as a teenager.

The intention was initially a joke because he’d spent so much time in there and it was his favourite place.’

‘I was initially concerned about getting it through in my carry on so I just left it within in hopes to avoid explanations.

It was a bit nerve-wracking but I had previously gone through security with a normal plug-in without incident so I had a sense of calm and faith that we’d both make it through.’

Unfortunately, things didn’t go to plan for Sarah and her butt plug at Abu Dhabi airport in the United Arab Emirates (UAE)  as they ended up ‘banned’ from the Gulf.

‘I explained what it was but there was a lady worker in earshot of that conversation which led to some back and forth between us and the male officials did not like the vulgarity I was using to explain.

They took me and my friend aside without much explanation.’

Sarah claims her passport and mobile phone were taken away, forcing her to call her dad to ring the Australian Embassy in Abu Dhabi for help.

‘An hour later a big official came and had us sign a super long foreign document and said if we went outside of the airport doors we’d go to jail. It was a long day.

Moral of the story is I was very ignorant of what I had in my bag and the words I used/their values and I didn’t realise explaining a plug would like violate the person that asked about it.’

All things considered, i think she had a lucky escape there. Sarah has since travelled to ‘places [she and her ex-boyfriend] only ever dreamed of going’ such as the Great Barrier Reef. No doubt he’s looking down with pride as Sarah smuggles his ashes around the world within the confines of her butt. True love, indeed!
