The nights are drawing in and getting colder and it seems like Nando’s has been more than aware of this as they’ve announced their new menu items – released today – and they seem to be based around making your mouth as hot as possible.
The main addition to the menu has got to be the new Vusa Perinaise sauce that’s aiming to really fire everyone up on their next visit to Nando’s. It’s a cross between their Peri Vusa sauce – the hottest one yet – and their creamy Perinaise that’s bound to leave your mouth requiring a couple of glasses of water before you leave. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
As far as food goes, it’s the vegetarians who have come off best from his menu upgrade with the introduction of the Sweet Potato & Butternut Burger and the Supergreen Burger. The first comes packed with sweet potato, butternut, red pepper, onion and edamame beans, whilst the Supergreen Burger combining everything from broccoli to edamame beans and kale – superfoods basically. Healthy, and they’re both available as wraps, burgers or pittas so you can make them even healthier if you want. Result.
For the chicken lovers amongst you – probably the majority of people reading this – the restaurant is introducing the Fino Pitta. This is a toasted pitta with two flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken thighs, grilled halloumi cheese, caramelised red onion relish, cos lettuce and wild garlic aioli mayonnaise. Delicious.
This menu items are all available from today so you might as well go and try them ASAP. Let us know how the Vusa Perinaise is particularly as we’re super excited to try that out.
