Over the weekend MMA journalist Ariel Helwani broke the news that Brock Lesnar was going to fight at UFC 200. This was absolutely massive news which the UFC wanted to announce themselves after Saturday’s UFC 1999, resulting in Helwani being kicked out of the building and banned from UFC for life.

Bit hard on the guy really, he was just doing his job. Anyway at least the UFC got to break the news of who Brock Lesnar will be facing themselves, via Brock himself on ESPN:

None other than Mark Hunt, a 260 lbs Samoan known for his devastating knockout blows. His MMA record of 12-10-1 isn’t that impressive but he’s definitely a heavy hitter who managed to knock out both Antonio Silva and Frank Mir in his last two fights. Not forgetting Brock Lesnar’s MMA record isn’t that impressive on paper either – 5-3-0.

What’s interesting is that this is a bit of cross-promotion with the WWE (who Lesnar is still under contract with) and the UFC. What happens if Lesnar loses to Mark Hunt in a real fight before having to show up at Summerslam for a pretend fight? Won’t be the best of looks for WWE.

For the time Brock Lesnar first showed up on the scene and obliterated little Spike Dudley, click HERE.
