Amy Vigus from Colchester died at the young age of 20 just four days ago after she returned home from London and collapsed. She had suffered from a fatal reaction to the drug, which she was lead to believe was ecstasy.

Her parents tried to revive her before she was rushed to hospital, but sadly this did not work and she fell into a coma and died soon after. RIP.

Her parents have posted a heartbreaking tribute video, describing how their daughter will “never know the pain she has caused” after taking the pill in a “moment of madness”. They want people to watch it as a way to tell her tragic story and urge people to think twice about taking drugs:

Man, that is just so upsetting – thoughts go out to Amy’s family.

It really does serve as a warning with regards to taking pills. Don’t get me wrong, we all get on it from time to time, but the thing is that back when I first got into it, the pills weren’t as strong and they were mostly just made up of MDMA which is not harmful in small doses. These days they’re stronger than ever, meaning it is easier for people to overdose, and they’re being filled with all sorts of unknown substances, making occurrences like these more common.

Obviously the simple solution would be to not take drugs full stop, but if you really have to then you should at least make sure you know your source and perhaps even invest in a drugs testing kit to tell you exactly what’s in your pill. It could be the difference between life and death. Stay safe everyone.
