Woman ‘Walks’ Man On Dog Leash To Get Around Quebec Lockdown Rules; Hit With Massive Fines Instead

It’s fair to say that everyone is pretty annoyed with the current lockdown rules in this country, but it could always be worse – just take a look at this story from Quebec for example.

Quebec have some of the strictest lockdown restrictions in the world, and these became even wore last week when they began to enforce a curfew where people who were found outside their homes between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. We’re not talking about some half assed fines like in this country either – this is the big money with impositions ranging from $1000 to $6000.

Anyway, there are a couple of exemptions – aren’t there always? – and one of these is for people walking their dogs, which is reasonable enough especially as they have to stay within one kilometre of their house as well. Naturally though, a 24 year old woman and her 40 year old male partner tried to exploit this loophole as she decided to put him on a leash and take him for a walk at 9pm on Saturday night in the city of Sherbrooke.

Sounds like a good idea, but unfortunately for them, they didn’t get away with it and were quickly picked up by local law enforcement. Here’s what Sherbrooke Police spokesperson Isabelle Gendron said about the incident:

One of them had the other on a leash, and she said she was taking her dog, pointing to her partner, out on a walk, as allowed under the exceptions provided by Quebec’s premier under its curfew law.

The couple said it would be their “pleasure” to receive the fines. The also added that it would not stop them from breaking the rules in the future and they would see how many tickets they could get.

The couple were given fines of $1,546 each, and additional tickets of $100 and $50 for breaking municipal regulations.

Doesn’t sound like they’re too bothered does it? To be honest it sounds like this wasn’t even just to get them out of the house, but kinda as if they wanted to get caught – especially when you look at their ages. You often here about older men that pay women to humiliate them and do stuff like this and a stunt like this just seems like the logical next step, wouldn’t you agree? Covid dominatrix vibes.
