It’s fair to say that we’ve probably all got into some arguments and possible even fights when we’ve been under the influence of alcohol, but I would like to think that nobody has ever reacted the way that 41 year old Jessica Collins did recently when she got a bit too wasted.

Collins was drinking with her friend Tatiana in Houston, Texas when Tatiana refused to go on a beer and ciggy run after they had returned home from a bar. Instead of being normal and playing paper, rock, scissors for it or just calling it a night, Jessica did the exact opposite and bit Tatiana’s nose off and swallowed it. Tatiana had this to say about the whole ordeal:

I didn’t have time to react, to push her away.

I think I was trying to fight back, but I couldn’t. All I could remember was the taste of the blood in my mouth.’ She added: ‘I started calling my husband when I was in the ambulance.

I was screaming, like, “I don’t have a nose. I’m 28 years old and I don’t have a nose anymore.”

Yeowch. That does not look good. Of course, Tatiana doesn’t have health insurance so she’s trying to raise the money for facial reconstruction surgery via a GoFundMe page. It is a literal race against time though, as the skin on her nose will start to heal in the next fortnight which will make surgery significantly more difficult. Here’s hoping it comes through for her.

On top of this, Tatiana is also saying she’s now afraid to leave the house in case she is attacked again. Collins is being charged with assault-bodily injury and will appear in court soon, but it sounds like it could have been a very avoidable situation. I mean why would you bite someone’s nose off? Ridiculous behaviour, irregardless of how wasted you are.
