This last outfit has to be the coolest of all though. I know it looks like Pinhead’s pyjamas, but apparently it was either for wrestling or hunting bears in Siberia in the 1800’s. It’s made of leather with nails sewed into it. It’s the most heavy metal onesie of all time.
Completely nuts. I’m not sure how much it would have helped against bears though? They’re pretty tough. Maybe that’s why it’s the only one that’s been found: it was rubbish.
So there you go. Body armour on such a grand scale has all but fallen out of the modern world’s war effort. Kevlar will just never look as awesome as a full suit of armour. But it will stop an AK47 so I guess that’s the point.
