I’ve never really understood the appeal of slacklining across massive drops because it looks absolutely terrifying, but I have to admit that it is mighty impressive to see people do stunts like the one below.

Rafael Bridi is a Brazilian slackliner that recently broke the world record of slacklining at 61,000 ft between 2 hot air balloons. Again, no idea why he would enjoy that but whatever makes him happy I suppose.

Obviously when Insta360 heard about this, they had to get him involved with re-creating the stunt over his home town of Florianópolis. Check out the crazy footage below and also read about why slacklining makes Bridi so happy:

I’m a person that inside of myself I’m very competitive and I try to bring that to my ideas to create things that no one else can. That’s how I live my life: I dream, I plan, and I act.

Thinking bold is a way of finding balance in life, right?

We have very common lives in big cities and we need to think bold to see beauty, where most people do not see beauty.

We need to think bold to see adventure, where most people just pass by and do not see anything different.

That’s why “Think Bold” is a way of life for me.

That sounds like a very philosophical way of saying that he’s an adrenaline junkie but fair play to the guy, some of that footage is absolutely insane. Made me almost throw up just watching it.

For more of the same, check out this guy slacklining between two mountains in the Utah Desert. Not quite so impressive now is it?
