This has been around for a while sure but I’ve never come across it. I know I say this a lot and nobody who reads Sick Chirpse ever complains but I still feel like I need to justify myself sometimes OK? Ok, cool. Anyway, I was at a BBQ party the other week and the dude throwing it was DJ’ing off a laptop through YouTube.
Now, everyone has been to a party/gathering/poker game/whatever where somebody is DJ’ing through a laptop with YouTube videos, and let’s be honest, it kind of sucks. Mainly because at the end of every video there’s normally at least a bit of silence while the dude DJ’ing finds the next song and clicks onto it or even worse when the dude tries to get the song set up before the end of the one he’s playing but accidentally hits return and starts the new song before the end of the last one. That really fvcking sucks and there’s always loads of boos, especially if it’s a banger.
But, at this BBQ party, the guy DJ’ing had something else. Two Youtube videos and a motherfucking crossfader. This is cool. A website that does exactly what you expect it to. Not only does it make it way easier to DJ YouTube videos at a party but you can also make mashups and stuff with the crossfader, which I guess is kind of cool if you fancy yourself as a DJ but want to practice on something before you get all that expensive equipment. Or probably not because in reality it’s actually really different. Probably.
Whatever way you look at it, two youtube videos and a motherfucking crossfader is a great tool for parties and aspiring DJ’s alike. I know you’ll be using it at the next party you go to when some fool tries to DJ using YouTube videos. Just use two YouTube videos and a motherfucking crossfader you idiot!
