For those of you who haven’t heard of it, the movie tells the story of a vegetarian who heads to university to become a vet, only to end up being forced to eat raw meat during a hazing ritual. This act awakens a carnivorous hunger inside of her, which develops into a bloodthirsty desire for human flesh. There has been a lot of hype surrounding the movie after a bunch of people actually passed out and threw up during its screening at Toronto Film Festival last year.
One of its alleged highlights is its soundtrack, which includes club bangers, cutting-edge indie and grinding synth tracks. Its most daring track is the Orties’ song ‘Plus Pute Que Toutes Les Putes’ translating as ‘Bitchier than any Bitches’. The lyrics touch upon murder, necrophilia and Satanism. These twin sisters know how to rap about the darker things in life. Sounds like a perfect fit:
Not really to my taste, but there’s no denying that these twin Satanic sex rappers are the perfect contribution to the ‘Raw’ soundtrack.
