Two-time world darts champion Ted Hankey has been jailed for two years after pleading guilty to the sexual assault of a young woman, reports Sky.

Hankey went viral a number of times thanks to this unhinged video of him taunting the Devil in the middle of a game:

54-year-old Hankey was arrested on the day of the offence which took place in Cheshire last year. There was video evidence of the assault which was immediately reported by the victim. He’s been given a two-year jail term and will spend 10 years on the sex offenders register.

Hankey, whose nickname is ‘The Count’, was known for entering arenas draped in a cloak, and his walk-on music was ‘Be on Your Way’ by DJ Zany. In 2013, he had a stroke in the middle of a competition and kept playing on:

So Hankey was all set to have a solid legacy in the darts game, but will now forever be known as the darts scumbag who sexually assaulted a woman and went to jail. Respect to the victim for being brave enough to go to the police and seeing this through until Hankey was locked up. Never forget:

For the darts champion who was axed from an at-home tournament because his wi-fi connection was crap, click HERE. Gutted pal.
