Ever Wonder How Skrillex Makes Those Noises? Or What Someone’s Face Would Look Like Making Them?

Looks like one of the great mysteries of the 21st century has been solved.

Animaniacs was a pretty cool show back in the day. Steven Spielberg was involved and I think it used to air on CITV on Tuesdays at 4:40pm. Or maybe it was Fridays. Whatever, I guess it doesn’t really matter. Anyway if you didn’t see it, it was about these three weird things (there isn’t really a better word for it) called Wakko, Yakko and Dot who lived in the tower on the Warner Bros lot and got up to loads of crazy mischief that didn’t really make any sense but was kind of funny when you were a little kid sucking your thumb. There were a bunch of other crazy characters as well but they didn’t get featured as much as the main Animaniacs. Check it out if you get a chance, it’s probably pretty good to watch when you’re high.

Anyway, it turns out that they might actually have been the inspiration for everyone’s favourite post-pop-dubstep-whatever artist Skrillex. I can imagine him, sitting on the floor sucking his thumb in a little nappy (probably with the same shitty hairstyle) watching the Animaniacs as a little kid and just thinking ‘What the hell would his facial expressions sound like if they were interpreted as face meltingly low bass?.’ Check out this video for evidence – it must be true as it just fits in time SO PERFECTLY. Thanks a lot Spielberg.
