I’ve gradually noticed the rise of flavoured mayonnaise over the last couple of years, with the most famous example of it being Nando’s patented Perinaise, but now Sainsbury’s has decided to go absolutely crazy with it and combines the best thing about Christmas with the sauce in the form of a pigs in blankets flavour mayonnaise.

I’m not really sure how this is going to work or if it’s even going to be nice – it seems like quite a lot to transfer the flavour of a pig in blanket into a mayonnaise esque sauce – but I’m willing to give it a go, especially as it’s being reported that a bottle of the stuff is currently retailing at just 95p. It’s not available in every Sainsbury’s yet as they’ve just started the roll out, but it should be found everywhere both online and in store come October 25th.

So far, I can’t really seem to find any reaction to the sauce online anywhere, so there’s no news on whether it’s good or bad or somewhere in the middle. Hopefully we’ll see some in the coming days because like I said, it has the potential to be the best or the worst thing ever. Can’t really see there being much middle ground to be honest on it, but we’ll see. If you try any then let us know what you think.

For more of the same, check out this pigs in blankets hot dog. Probably a bit too much to be honest.
