Not really sure what’s happened to Russell Crowe over the years – he’s an Oscar winning actor and household name, but it’s not like anyone has really been to excited about one of his new movies for some time now – but maybe that’s set to change with his latest release ‘Unhinged’.

As the title suggests, the movie sees Crowe play a psychopath who goes on the warpath against Caren Pistorius when she get involved in a road rage incident with him. Take a look at the trailer and synopsis below and see what you think:

Academy Award winner Russell Crowe stars in Unhinged, a timely psychological thriller that explores the fragile balance of a society pushed to the edge, taking something we’ve all experienced- road rage – to an unpredictable and terrifying conclusion.

Rachel (Caren Pistorius) is running late to work when she has an altercation at a traffic light with a stranger (Crowe) whose life has left him feeling powerless and invisible.

Soon, Rachel finds herself and everyone she loves the target of a man who decides to make one last mark upon the world by teaching her a series of deadly lessons. What follows is a dangerous game of cat and mouse that proves you never know just how close you are to someone who is about to become unhinged.

Lol. Everything about that movie from the plotline to the goth version of “Heart Shaped Box’ playing through it screams low budget B movie, so I’m kinda surprised that Russell Crowe even agreed to be in it and that whoever is releasing it pencilled it in for a summer release?

That kinda implies to me that it is actually going to be really good and has an amazing script or something, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see. Interestingly, it’s going to be one of the first movies back in cinemas over in America once they apparently re-open on July 1st in line with the current guidance. We’ll see if that actually ends up happening or not though.

For more of the same, check out this new R rated Home Alone movie called ‘Becky’. Looks like an instant classic.
