Just two weeks after he fought through Parkinson’s to give his fans one last show in Birmingham, the Prince of Darkness Ozzy Osbourne has passed away aged 76.

We all knew Ozzy hadn’t been doing well recently – his battle with Parkinson’s Disease has been public for years – but it still comes as something of a shock, especially coming so soon after his farewell show. It’s awesome that he got to experience that before he passed, especially as he’d spoken for years about wanting to get back on stage to play one final show, in which he got treated like the rock/metal legend that he is.

Not only that, the concert also raised $200 million for charity. Now that’s special.

And so, as in his life, legends of the music/entertainment game are paying tribute to Ozzy in death, as we head to what will surely be an extravagant, packed-out funeral for Black Sabbath legend…

Musical legend Sir Elton said Ozzy was a 'huge trailblazer' who 'secured his place in the pantheon of rock gods' (pictured together)

Sir Rod penned: 'Bye, bye Ozzy. Sleep well, my friend. I'll see you up there - later rather than sooner'

After sharing the stage at Villa Park in Birmingham, Ronnie Wood said he is 'very sad' to learn of Ozzy's death

American actor Jason Momoa , 45, who joined the the Black Sabbath frontman on stage at Villa Park in Birmingham less than three weeks ago, also paid tribute with a photo backstage with Ozzy and Sharon

Sir David Beckham penned: 'So sad to see Ozzy leave us. Thank you for entertaining us. Sending love to Sharon, the kids and family.'

Piers Morgan posted a photo of himself with Osbourne and Sharon, alongside the caption: 'RIP Ozzy Osbourne. One of the greatest rock stars in history, and a wonderful character'

Yungblud devastatingly admitted he didn't think Ozzy 'would leave so soon' as he shared his heartache

Queen icon Sir Brian May said Ozzy's final concert earlier in the month 'was a glorious way to say goodbye' to the heavy metal vocalist in his emotional tribute

Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready thanked Ozzy for his music and the impact it had on his life

Green Day singer Billie Joe Armstrong responded to the death of Ozzy by saying he has no words

Meanwhile Adam Sandler remembered the Prince of Darkness and said he is 'so happy' that he was able to meet him

RIP Ozzy. Blast some of his tunes to pay your respects today.
