Have you heard of Fenty Beauty? Nope, neither have I. Well apparently it’s a cosmetics company that Rihanna launched back in 2017, which has now helped her join one of the world’s most exclusive ranks: BILLIONAIRE.

According to Forbes, Rihanna is now worth $1.7 billion, making her the wealthiest female musician in the world and second only to Oprah as the richest female entertainer. The bulk of her fortune (an estimated $1.4 billion) comes from the value of Fenty Beauty, of which she owns 50%. The rest lies in her stake in her lingerie company, Savage x Fenty, worth $270 million, and her earnings from her career as a superstar musician and actress.
Rihanna? A billionaire?! As I said I don’t even think most people knew she had a cosmetics line, or at least not one that was so successful. Apparently Fenty Beauty made $573 million in its first year (2017) alone. Although maybe those numbers aren’t too surprising when you consider she has literally hundreds of millions of followers online she can advertise to anytime she wants. Would you ever have foreseen the girl singing ‘Umbrella’ all those years back would go on to become a billionaire? It’s quite amazing really.
