Rebel Wilson Claims Adele ‘Hates’ Her Because She ‘Didn’t Like Being Confused’ With Actress During Her ‘Bigger’ Years

I don’t think I remember anyone ever confusing Rebel Wilson and Adele with each other, but apparently it used to happen all the time, and according to Rebel Wilson, is the reason why Adele hates her guts to this day.

In fairness, I would be pretty vexed too if I was a famous, big-boned white girl who was being confused with a less-famous big-boned white girl, but despite Rebel Wilson and Adele both losing a bunch of weight since then, Rebel senses that Adele still has an issue with the whole thing.

In upcoming memoir ‘Rebel Rising’, Rebel writes:

“Some actresses would get offended if I called them plus-size in this book, so I have to be careful with what I say. This is why, I think, Adele hates me. There was a moment when she was bigger, and some people would confuse us for one another.”

The Australian actress also claimed she crossed paths with Adele at several events. However, when she attempted to approach her, the Grammy winner would allegedly “always quickly” turn away.

“As if my fatness might rub off on her if I were near her for more than thirty seconds.”

It actually sounds like Rebel Wilson has just come up with this theory all on her own? She seems certain that Adele purposely blanked her at several events, but does that necessarily mean it’s because she didn’t want to associate with a fellow fat? Or, rather, Rebel Wilson in particular, because she didn’t like being confused with or compared to her?

Could be all kinds of reasons why Adele doesn’t want to hang out with Rebel Wilson, but I guess it’s possible that Rebel Wilson has hit the nail on the head. Again, I don’t remember anyone ever confusing the two of them with each other, but I suppose it could have happened. Maybe she could have got in touch with Adele somehow and asked her about it, instead of writing about it in her book?

Well anyway, I’m sure Rebel Wilson is going to keep drip-feeding us stories like this in order to market her book. Previously, she shared an excerpt where she accused Sacha Baron Cohen of sexually harassing her on the set of Grimsby in 2016. He denies the allegations, naturally.
