One of the biggest problems surrounding the emergence from lockdown is how people will enforce social distancing once they’re allowed outside, but one German cafe has come up with a pretty novel way in which to do so.

The Café Rothe in the city of Schwerin, in the state Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany has decided to issue all customers with pool noodle hats, which they then wear on their heads to ensure that they’re keeping the required distance from everyone else in the cafe. Looks stupid I know, but is probably kinda fun and definitely giving everyone reading this a bit of a laugh as well.

Yeah OK, so of course the cafe isn’t actually enforcing this rule and it was just a bit of fun to try and make people smile and also raise awareness of social distancing, but I genuinely think it would be a pretty good idea to do something like this. Sure, it’s really stupid but at least you would be laughing and enforcing the rules, so what’s the matter with that? Haven’t really seen anyone come up with a better solution anywhere yet.
