Rage Against The Machine are one of the most iconic and original bands out there, so it’s no surprise that they’ve started where they left off with their first gig back in 11 years.

Obviously the main political talking point over in America at the moment is the overturning of Roe V Wade and Rage didn’t waste any time letting the people know what they thought about the matter, immediately projecting several hard hitting messages onto the screen behind them as they played at the Alpine Valley Music Theatre in Wisconsin over the weekend. Pretty weird place to start your comeback tour right?

Anyway, here are a couple of clips from the show as well as some of the provocative messages they played in front of the crowd:

Forced birth in a country that is the only wealthy country in the world without any guaranteed paid parental leave at the national level.

Forced birth in a country where Black birth-givers experience maternal mortality two to three times higher than that of white birth-givers.

Forced birth in a country where gun violence is the number one cause of death among children and teenagers.

Abort the Supreme Court.

Gotta love Rage Against The Machine there haven’t you? If you need any more evidence of how great they are, they donated $475,000 from this show and two others in Chicago to reproductive rights organisations in Wisconsin and Illinois. Righteous.

Of course, it’s great that Rage Against The Machine are back but we probably should be paying more attention to the issues that they’re highlighting here with abortion being made illegal in a load of American states. That’s the absolute worst and completely sucks for pretty much every woman in the United States (there are some that are strangely pro abortion being banned), so if you can do anything to help then please do.

For more of the same, check out this news report from when Rage Against The Machine accidentally played a small town in Utah. Absolutely wild.
