Not gonna lie, kinda wanted this starving, 8 foot tall, 1000 lb polar bear to turn the BBC’s Gordon Buchanan into a tasty snack but alas, the perspex safety box did its job well. The filmmaker went on to describe the ordeal as his scariest ever experience.

A lot of people think that carnivors are intrinsically dangerous but most aren’t — there’s minimal risk. But polar bears are different, without a doubt she wanted me for lunch. She was so persistent, looking for a weak spot for almost 45 minutes.
