The big news of the day yesterday was probably that Philip Schofield’s 54 year old brother Timothy was found guilty of 11 sexual offences involving a child between October 2016 and October 2019 at Exeter Crown Court. The guy denied some of the offences but did admit that he watched pornography and masturbated whilst sitting apart from the teenager, although he is adamant that the kid was over 16 at the time.

Obviously Philip Schofield couldn’t really be associated with a paedophile/creep (however way you look at his behaviour is gross, even if the kid was of age) so moved quickly to release the following statement where he totally renounced his brother from the family name. Here’s what he had to say:

My overwhelming concern is and has always been for the wellbeing of the victim and his family. I hope that their privacy will now be respected.

If any crime had ever been confessed to me by my brother, I would have acted immediately to protect the victim and their family.

These are despicable crimes, and I welcome the guilty verdicts.

As far as I am concerned, I no longer have a brother.

Pretty damning stuff there, although I suppose if you find out that your brother is a nonce then there’s only one real reaction isn’t there? The problem is though is that a lot of people also know that Philip Schofield pretty much groomed some teenager who was a family friend until he was 18 before having sex with him, then was ‘incredibly brave’ and came out as gay on national TV to try and sweep in under rug. Not sure if it washes quite as well there in that case. Make your own mind up/do your own research I suppose.

As for Timothy Schofield, he’s been remanded in custody and will be sentenced on May 19th. Hope they throw the book at the weirdo.

For more of the same, check out when Philip Schofield bragged about drinking vodka with prostitutes whilst working as a children’s TV presenter. That’s not that cool either.
