Love it when stuff just falls out of the sky and people start speculating that it’s alien technology and this weird orb with an antenna that landed in Veracruz, Mexico is no exception.

The orb landed on July 31st, but only went viral on the internet after popular television meteorologist Isidro Cano Luna decided to post about it on social media.  He explained that the orb was made of hard plastic or metal, had an antenna and emitted a sound but no fire as it landed in a tree in the Lomas del Río Medio neighborhood of Veracruz.

There was a code on the outside of the sphere but no hole or slit through how it could be opened – Luna speculated that it was operated by a timing mechanism that would eventually count down, causing the orb to unlock by itself and share the valuable information that it was storing inside. Not sure where he dug that up from but I suppose it sounds believable?

Obviously people immediately speculated that this was some kind of alien technology, although other people chimed in with some more sensible ideas like it had fallen off a weather balloon, satellite or a spaceship from Earth. I guess that could be it I suppose?

Sadly, it doesn’t seem like we’ll ever find out though because the orb was removed at 3:15 am by ‘highly trained personnel with specialised equipment’. Luna has no idea where it has ended up and finds it unlikely that anyone will ever share the truth with him about what it was all about. Another one for Mulder and Scully I suppose. The truth is out there.
