People Are Now Wearing Face Masks With Gun Holsters On Them

Just when you thought that the whole face mask debate couldn’t get any more ridiculous, a bunch of Americans have decided that it would be a good idea to attach gun holsters to their masks and post pictures of them on social media.

I’m not really sure if this is meant to be funny or a protest as generally people who oppose face masks are right wing and again generally those who think gun ownership is a right tend to fall in the same category, but whatever they’re trying to achieve by the little stunt I think that most of the rest of us can agree that its pretty stupid whatever their reasons for it. The photos were first shared by anti gun advocate Lisa Hendricks and thankfully most of the people in the replies were doubling down on how ridiculous an idea it was:

if you are one of those fellas who has shot himself in the groin, you are legally required to keep your gun two feet away from your belt. So it’s a work around.

These things are stupid as fuck, but should be no risk of accidental discharge. Trigger is covered to prevent anything from pulling it, plus the gun in the holster would need to have something squeeze the grip safety, hammer cocked, and a round in the chamber to fire.
