As we know, child abusers and paedophiles are #1 on the prison sh1t list so it’s no surprise to learn that Ashley Paul Griffith, one of the worst alleged paedophiles in the world, has been brutalised in Wolston jail in Queensland, Australia.
The incident occurred last Friday, when another inmate reportedly mixed boiling water with jam and poured it all over Griffith’s head. The mixture essentially forms a syrup, which has a much higher boiling point than just water, with the sugar content sticking to the victim’s skin and prolonging the burning sensation. So you can guarantee this guy was in a world of pain as he was rushed to Royal Brisbane Hospital with facial burns.
Obviously it’s not nice to imagine anyone experiencing this level of pain (even if you can respect the ingenuity of such an improvised weapon). Before you feel too sorry for him though, the attack comes days after Griffith was named for the first time after being charged with sexually abusing 91 young girls over the course of 15 years.
Griffith is facing 1,623 child abuse offences after assaulting the girls at childcare centres in Brisbane, Sydney, and overseas from 2007 to 2022. That’s a ridiculously long time to be abusing children and getting away with it. It’s alleged that at least 23 of his alleged victims were aged between one and five.
A Queensland Corrective Services spokeswoman confirmed to JOE that a prisoner assaulted two other prisoners at Wolston:
One prisoner was assessed by medical staff on site with no treatment required and the other has been transported to hospital for further assessment.
Griffith’s identity was made public following a change in law allowing those accused of sexual assault to be identified prior to being committed to stand trial. Have to think this is the first of many horrific experiences he will endure while in prison. Probably should’ve thought about that at some point between 2007 and 2022.
