There’s no denying that doctors and nurses on the frontline of the war against coronavirus deserve all the credit and appreciation in the world, but one clip that surfaced this week of American nurses enjoying themselves on their break has rubbed people up the wrong way.

It’s… not the best idea for a TikTok I’ve ever seen, all things considered:

The clip is a play on the viral coffin dance internet meme, which you’ll have seen by now unless you’ve been living under a rock:

Here’s the general reaction on Twitter:

Obviously nurses need their down time and should be able to have some fun and blow off a little steam. But I can see why people are so upset about this because obviously we’re still in the middle of this pandemic which continues to claim lives all around the world, and so someone who may have lost a loved one won’t exactly appreciate coming across a TikTok of dancing nurses carrying a coffin marked ‘COVID-19’ for the sake of some lolz.

The worst part about this though is that it’s led to some commentators claiming that hospitals can’t be that busy if nurses have the time to piss around like this, and is fueling conspiracy theories about the true severity of coronavirus. On the bright side… at least they’re all wearing PPE eh?

For the doctor filmed strangling an 18-year-old girl who was refusing to social distance, click HERE. We’re all going mad it seems.
