There hasn’t been much to celebrate this year, but the countdown to Christmas and being allowed to hang out with a few more people than usual for a couple of days indoors is on and a whole load of brands seem to be pulling out some stops to try and improve the situation for everyone.

The latest one of these schemes sees MoneyBeach.co.uk offering one lucky punter the opportunity to try out a bunch of Christmas food from takeaways via their apps and review the experience, so you’re basically getting paid money to eat a bunch of delicious Christmas food from places like McDonald’s and Greggs. You” be given a £75 voucher for the food and will be paid £200 for your time.

Here’s what the official advert says:

As a specialist website for restaurant and takeaway insurance – we keep a keen eye on the takeaway trends in the UK.

This year many brands are offering their limited-edition Christmas menus via delivery apps like Deliveroo, UberEats and Just Eat – which means that festive foodie fans can merrily munch without even having to leave their home.

It got us thinking – from the Greggs Festive Bake to Pret’s Christmas sandwich, what is the best Christmas food out there? Well we’re looking for a Festive Food Tester to find out and settle the debate once and for all!

MoneyBeach.co.uk is looking for a takeaway-loving, crazy-for-Christmas individual to try a range of items from the nation’s favourite restaurants, shops and takeaways.

You’ll get a £75 voucher to be spent on your choice of festive foods, all to be ordered via a delivery app. Each item will then need to be rated on: taste, value for money and levels of festive-ness.

As all food will be delivered to you, you don’t even need to leave your home to complete it!

When you’ve completed the task we’ll pay you £200.

For once there isn’t actually a catch on this one – although I suppose you will have to download the apps if you’re wary of your information being shared or whatever – and it looks like you’ll just have to do exactly what they say. You will however have to meet the following criteria:

  • Based in the UK
  • Over 18
  • Lives in an area with delivery app (Deliveroo, UberEats, Just Eat) coverage
  • Loves takeaways
  • Loves Christmas even more

Pretty easy and seems like pretty good deal to me, so if you want to put your name forward then head over to MoneyBeach.co.uk. Alternatively, check out the Greggs Christmas menu before you make your decision. Delicious.
