Festivals are undoubtedly a whale of a time for everyone who is attending, but have you ever stopped to contemplate what a massive operation they are and everything that could go wrong with them behind the scenes?

Fyre Festival is perhaps the best example of how a festival can come crashing down – literally. The festival was the brainchild of Ja Rule and entrepreneur Billy McFarland and was meant to happen on a luxury island in the Bahamas in 2017, but that was far from the reality of what actually went down.

No spoilers but you can watch the trailer to a new documentary about the festival that’s premiering on Netflix next week below. The word clusterfuck doesn’t seem to do it justice:

What a mess. I don’t actually know the full details of what went down but I remember hearing about it at the time and it looks like an absolutely fascinating story so I’ll definitely be checking this out when it drops next weekend. Probably next weekend itself at some point, it looks that good.

For more fake music festivals, check out this travelling chicken nugget festival that I’m pretty sure never happened as well. Seriously.
