On this day 22 years ago, the whole world changed forever when two hijacked planes plowed into the Twin Towers at the World Trade Centre in New York. There’s no shortage of footage and angles of the tragedy online, but one YouTuber named Kevin Westley shared footage in 2001 that he didn’t realise he had left on ‘private’ until recently. Today, that footage is doing the rounds:

No matter how much time passes, it’s still such a shocking and surreal moment in history. I’m not going to bother getting into all the different conspiracy theories but they’re interesting enough if you want to look them up. What we know for sure is that up to 3,000 people lost their lives that day, and our thoughts are with them, their friends and family on this day.
