I’m pretty sure that if you’re having a baby with someone that it’s a non negotiable that you have to attend any hospital appointments in the run up to the birth, but apparently the guy in this story thought differently.

For some reason, the dude thought that he could just skip the scans whenever he wanted and this included the one where he found out the baby’s gender, preferring instead to go get a chippy with his mate. He then proceeded to be completely outraged when the mother refused to tell him the sex of the foetus.

Boy, if those aren’t a couple of red flags right there then I don’t know what are, but I suppose it’s a bit more difficult for the woman to get out of the relationship when you’re supposed to be having a baby with the schmuck.

Anyway, here’s how it all went down courtesy of an anonymous post on Reddit:

Geez. This really doesn’t sound like a good situation for that mother to be does it? Who the hell cancels plans they’ve made with anyone because someone else invites them out for fish and chips, let alone when the plans are your wife/girlfriend’s gender reveal scan?

Guy has serious problems and the sooner the woman can get rid of him the better because he’s 100% going to be a deadbeat dad. Hopefully the roughly 2500 comments telling her to do just that are enough to get her on her way to doing this. You got this girlfriend! And as for the guy, I hope that the cod/haddock was worth it!
