You know when you’re planning on stealing something from the local shop, it’s probably pretty imperative that you can make a quick getaway, so in the past you may have wanted to wear your best running shoes or hire a getaway driver or something.

Not anymore though. No, now you can just use a hover board and glide into the store, steal whatever your after and casually glide out. Easy as taking candy from a baby.

The Metropolitan Police posted the video earlier today – despite the crime happening way back on September 6th, do they actually think they’ve got a hope of catching him now? – along with the following message:

A man who glided into a Co-op supermarket in Mitcham on a hoverboard and took a crate of Lucozade before making off without paying is being sought by detectives.

He is described as a black man and was seen wearing a grey tracksuit top and bottoms.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who may recognise the man captured in the footage.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting image 192069 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Take a look at the video below. It’s hypnotic.

Fair play to the kid, although I’ve got a couple of questions about the video. For starters, is a overboard even that fast? Surely running would be quicker?

And why the hell did he steal a crate of Lucozade? What the hell is he going to do with that?

Maybe the actual real life Lexus hover board will be a better tool for shoplifting when it finally drops.
