A man has been arrested after claims he drunkenly tried to dig up his dead dad’s grave so he could argue with him.

44 year old Michael Day told officers that his dad died around 30 years ago and that he wanted to dig him up so that they could finish an argument they were having three decades ago.

The policeman who caught him in the act after spotting his truck outside the graveyard said the man thought the only way his dad could get to heaven is if the argument was over:

He told me he was trying to dig his dad up, so his dad could go to heaven.

Asked if he’d try to dig up the grave again if they let him go, Michael said:

It’s a possibility. If the truth doesn’t come out and nobody sees the truth, yeah I’ll do it again.

He was charged with violating a grave, public intoxication and marijuana possession.

Sadly there’s no information available on what the actual argument was about. Whatever it was you just know that Michael got completely roasted by his dad. That’s the only reason why he would go to the effort of digging up his dad’s grave 30 years later. It took him literally 30 years to think of a sick comeback to his dad’s argument and he wasn’t about to let the fact his dad was six feet under stop him from verbalising it. I bet the satisfaction was probably worth going to jail for.

He’d probably get along with the guy who murdered his own son, then tried to kill himself so he could carry on fighting him in the afterlife.
