Avocados have become a staple of the English diet over the last few years, but there’s no denying that however much you love them they’re pretty hard to prepare thanks to that pesky stone.

Not anymore though thanks to Marks And Spencer, who are selling something that I never thought was even possible – an avocado without a stone. They’re called cocktail avocados and they’re between five and seven centimetres long and kind of look like mini courgettes. There’s no stone and the skin is also edible so you don’t have to waste time peeling them either. They’re basically a real game changer.

Well, they could be because it’s not all good news with them. It turns out that they’re grown in Spain and for some reason they’re usually used by chefs in high end restaurants over there at this time of year. This basically means that they’re only available in December and also kinda hard to get a hold of. As such, even though M & S has a sizeable portion of them, they’re probably going to sell out fairly quickly, especially as it’s only £2 for a packet as well. Good luck.

For more avocados, check out avocado hand – which is apparently now a medical condition because people are such idiots. Figures.
