Everyone and their mother has flirted with the idea of starting a podcast during lockdown, but one that people might actually want to hear is coming out from esteemed documentary maker Louis Theroux.

Theroux has revealed that he’s recored a series of interviews with some of the biggest celebrities in the UK and US for his new podcast series entitled ‘Grounded’. It will involve Theroux getting into their heads and find out what they’ve been doing during lockdown, with confirmed guests including Sir Lenny Henry, Boy George, Miriam Margolyes and writer Jon Ronson. Not really sure if they’re the biggest names in the UK and US, but maybe he has someone much larger coming up later on in the series.

Here’s what he had to say about the new show:

I’ve really loved doing these interviews. It’s been a chance to speak to people I admire and have in depth conversations with them, about their lives, their careers, and their most intimate feelings.

Making a podcast and radio series is very different to my usual way of working. And for that reason, I’ve found it very fun and refreshing.

I mean yeah that sounds like it should be interesting. Whack it on the list for stuff to get through during this lockdown.
