A London taxi driver who sold cocaine from his black cab has pleaded guilty to supplying the class A drug in the City of London and surrounding areas.
Michael Redgrave, 57, who acted as a drug dealer and courier, was arrested after he stopped his taxi outside St Pancras Station. Here’s the moment it all came crashing down for him:

Redgrave was busted following an investigation by the City of London Police’s Serious Organised Crime Team, as part of a wider operation in connection to the sale of cocaine in the City.
Reviews of mobile phones the police had seized showed Redgrave had been very busy making trips to the Square Mile to drop off coke to clients. GPS tracking from his black cab proved he was at the locations where the drug deals took place.
Detective Constable Matt Cooper, in the Serious Organised Crime Team at the City of London Police, said
“By using his position as a legitimate cabbie, Redgrave supplied drugs in the City thinking he would be able to evade police. Our extensive evidence proved vital in his guilty plea.
“The City of London Police’s Serious Organised Crime Team are taking action to disrupt and pursue those involved in the supply of Class A drugs on the streets of London.
“We continue to actively identify, investigate and prosecute all others attempting to do the same.”
And so, City of London police have nabbed themselves this small-time coke peddler – surely someone who will never, ever be replaced and whose arrest will significantly impact the flow of cocaine through the city. I guess there’ll be a black cab on the market very soon, if anyone’s interested.
