Graphic designer Harry Holden started taking requests to create pixelated albums in the style of LEGO bricks on his Tumblr, aptly titled LEGO ALBUMS. He creates the images simply by pixelating the cover and laying a series of “brick looking pixels” over the top. The outcome is a collection of really simplistic iconic images that for the most part still keep their identity. There were a few I couldn’t decipher for the life of me, but it’s all part of the fun I guess.
We’ve pulled out a few of the covers below, but the list is endless and really quite hypnotising.
Who knew that in an age where we have 45 megapixel camera phones and 120″ HD TV’s looking at a load of fuzzy pictures that look like their made of toy bricks would be so enjoyable?
